Tax Investigation Fees Insurance

“I believe we should all pay our tax bill with a smile.
I tried but they wanted cash”
Anon

HM Revenue and Customs have powers to investigate income tax and corporation tax payers at random, and the number of these investigations is expected to increase dramatically over future years.

With the increased risk of full tax enquiries and investigations it’s worth considering protecting yourself from the accountancy costs of dealing with it as the amount of work involved can often be substantial.

If you are a self-assessment tax payer, VAT registered, or if you are responsible for employees' PAYE and P11D's then you could be subject to a random investigation. Even if HMRC finds nothing as a result of the investigation, you will still have unexpected professional fees to pay as a result.

We cannot prevent you from being investigated by HMRC, but we can help to ensure that you get the best possible support and advice without having to worry about the cost.
